Aww, man. Geocities has been around forever. That's crazy. I mean, not like I'm gonna miss it or anything.
Basically, if you don't have any issues with banners or whatever, there are literally hundreds of free web hosting pages out there. I've used webs.com before to some good effect.
What if we had a wiki for the whole site? You know, we could have not only the Job Wheel, but the map (if said map is still in existence), a more detailed plot, a "story so far" that could be updated by a few people. It might end up being a project that ups activity too, at least for a while.

Holy crap, a wiki would be awesome especially if we put the right tags in it. It'd be neat to give all of us PCs a chance to put our personal accounts and descriptions to some good use. Who knows, it might be the best way to advertise us if we linked it to the forums as well or maybe even carved a fanbase niche onto a long running wiki with our information if they have a fan created content section.
Edit: Oh and Angelfire is a good idea too.

A wiki would be a seriously awesome idea. I'll look into getting that set up, but I'm gonna need as much help as I can get. We even have a new map! I posted it recently. ffinfinity2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=plot&action=display&thread=278Celes: I've been looking around for the right web-hosting service for a while, and most that I've started to sign up for a seriously iffy on the signup process. I tried 50webs, freei, among a few others. I'm extremely wary of the amount of information I'm willing to give out. I mean, I know how easy it is for people to do a whois and get all kinds of information. Angelfire, though. I wasn't even aware that was still around. o.o; I could have sworn it dissolved years ago. Sounds like a good option, though. I'll transfer the site when I get the chance (pleaseplease support FTP) and if that doesn't work I'll keep looking. If I can get it set up on Angelfire and work up a wiki page, we'll be in good shape. Thank you guys for the recommendations. And Cloud! What're you up to, anyway? Hi. EDIT: Sweet! Angelfire supports Dreamweaver FTP. No more uploading individual files for me~ 2nd Edit: finalfantasyinfinity.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Infinity_Wiki Yay empty wiki. Yeah, that's a really long URL.

Okay, I made a test page real quick to see if you needed to log in, and I didn't appear to need to. I'll definitely be playing around more with this sometime over the weekend and see how much I can add to the page. In addition, I am excited by the prospect of a long term project to work on And I'm glad that we have an established new job wheel again... got a link?

I haven't uploaded it, yet, but I will when I get a chance. I've gotta rearrange some files before I get down to it. It's still up at Geocities and will be until October. No worries.

Whoa. I leave for two days and the board springs back to life. Damn Fallout 3...
Oh man, we have a Wiki now?! Agh! This is what happens when I don't go online every day. XD

You know, we could stick profiles and member bios on a wiki as well.

Yup! And anyone is welcome to do so. The current plan is to have all the rules and etiquette, the FAQ, individual character bios (as well as a taken characters list,) and map and locations, among other things. It's gonna be a long process getting everything there, but it'll look really nice once we get it done.
I know you'll like this, Alex. I know how much you like wikis. XD

I am a wiki-nut. I will so totally have more fun with this once I'm done with Fallout. I'm all distracted now, though. >.>
