It's more the fact that companies have different copyrights and internet regulations to deal with. Korea has almost everyone wired into the web but any site that is illegal in Korea has to make members register on the site with their real name and the Korean version of a Social Security Number as the password. Also, in Korea, the website cannot allow the people to criticize the government, government policy, or government figures if they are working on certain types of projects or the person is offended. If you speak out against the government or criticize them you can be fined and jailed. Most American sites don't want to deal with that hassle.

Wow, that's pretty...uhh...wow.
Could you get in trouble if we criticized the government?

Not really, and it's weird what they have fined people for. I haven't found a consistent trend yet other than the concept of respect.

AHEM: this thread needs to talk. The plans are as follows: as soon as I possibly can, there will be a niiiice Act of God coming your way in the form of a gargant that is going to carry you the rest of the way to Iifa tree. What needs to be discussed is how things are going down. Tseng, if you plan on accompanying this group to Iifa, you need to come up with a reason to head their way. If Cloud still has his PHS (Or Vince?), there could be something with those (a malfunction that just happens to patch the signals together. Something?)
Otherwise, this is really just for the benefit of Vince and Cloud. Opinions, guys?

Really, really sorry I haven't gotten around to doing what I said I would. Things have been really hectic around here, and I really haven't been spending a lot of time online. I promise I will write you a Gargant as soon as possible.

Sorry for my disappearance all...Lots of nasty shit has gone down for me this summer...including almost losing my house thanks to my hubby being injured and then his work being jerkwads (very long story). My work and some other responsibilities have been nothing short of total chaos lately as well. Fortunately, I think things are finally smoothing out. Just bloody took forever. So my deepest and most sincere apologies, everybody. I have been an ass by disappearing without notice, and I am really sorry. If it's any consolation I have really really missed everybody here. Looking forward to picking up again
