An icy chill, froze the woman to the bone. She was certainly akin to the cold, but in her current appearance, she was less than happy with the frost. She gazed around, a mist slowly diminishing around her. She looked around, she was in a marvellous city, with great building, equivalent to that of her recollections of Zanarkand. But this place felt different, strange, but she definitely recognized it.
It took her a few moments to gather her thoughts, and realise it was in fact, the eighth realm. She was in Esthar. The City of Lights and the greatest technologically civilisation of the Realm. The customisations she had to take, in order to remain discreet in this city were great. First, she had to truly assume her humanoid form, and in doing so, her hair was the first thing to change. The most outstanding feature, apart from her icy clothing and markings on her pale blue cheek was most definitely the amazingly long, dark blue hair, annunciated by the anchor-like attachments in her long braids.
She had to return to a more commonplace appearance before she could freely roam these streets, when someone would be bound to notice a blue haired, blue fleshed woman, wandering around wearing a very crudely sparse outfit.
Her hair slowly receded back toward her head, growing steadily shorter, and shorter by the second. Not only thus, but her defining hair colour fading to an ashe-blonde, almost browne colour. Even moreso, the anchor-like attachments vanished, almost as if they were never there in the first place.
Her deep, and magnified blue eyes, shone majestically as she looked at her surroundings. Her pale blue flesh, only just taking on a more, human complexion. Her blue markings remained, only becoming slightly paler than in her true form. Any onlookers would only find it to be a simplistic tattoo upon her gaunt cheek. In the completion of this phase, she simply stood, as mortal apparel lined her figure. Her curvy figure being fed into a rather appealing, yet comfortable Jeans, and a black shirt, with a leather jacket, as though for some sort of padding to defend against possible atack.
Her mannerisms, behaviour and expression, all gave away that she was indeed, in an icy mood. The Ice Queen Shiva, had just returned. The city of Esthar, had a very powerful and very neutral, visitor to keep happy.

Esthar, one of the most advanced cities in the world, rose early. You might even say the city never slept, the brilliant lights made such a beautiful beacon in the night. Kuja knew this because he'd watched the city from up on high on his dragon many times, pondering how such an isolated city could have come so far in terms of technology. Esthar wasn't an easy place to find by any means, but upon hearing rumors of the cities existence, Kuja made it his mission to find it. In the end, he was able to find a place in the wonderful country to live, at least in the short term.
Esthar was Kuja's hideout, his ideal world. When the silver haired man dreamed of creating his own immortal kingdom, his dreams never imagined something as amazing as Esthar, place where even the modest motel suite he stayed in indefinitely allowed him a replica of the luxury he enjoyed in his own palace, coupled with an amazing view of the cityscape. While Kuja often took off for weeks at a time on his dragon to inspect other cities and towns, or keep up with recent news from around the globe, he always returned to Esthar. The most amazing thing was there was no leader here, which of course aroused the interest of the silver haired man. Kuja had met and 'shook hands' with some of the important people in the city, but while they were undeniably impressed with his wit and genius, his former power and influence meant little here. It would take time and patience to place himself in charge of the city, two things he had in abundance.
However, none of this was on the mind of the silver haired man at the moment, as he had only just awoken. The purple satin sheets sighed as Kuja rose from the bed and made his way to the window overlooking the city, the purple satin wrapped around his frame. Kuja flipped his hair back from his face, letting it cascade down his back freely. 'One could be content to watch the majestic city all day', Kuja mused to himself. But there was work to be done, and this was not the time to become swept up in the beauty of his surroundings. Slowly turning away from the window, Kuja let the satin sheep drop to the floor and dressed as the people in these parts dressed themselves. His silver and purple breast plate had drawn just a little too much attention.
Kuja assessed himself in the full length mirror. His slender frame was covered by a deep purple vest, which revealed just a little of his chest and abdomen. His long legs were covered with simple black trousers, complete with black leather shoes. The outfit allowed him a sense of style, and afforded him enough attention without standing out too much. In short, it was perfect. Satisfied, Kuja turned away and headed toward the door, deciding to take his long black jacket and purple scarf out with him before he left. It was rather cold in these parts, and Kuja originally hailed from a desert.
With a slight wave to the doorman and receptionist at the counter of the hotel check in, Kuja headed outside. The wind immediately whipped his hair about, as well as the tales of his jacket and scarf. Kuja crossed his arms over his chest and dropped his head against the cold, burying as much of his face in his scarf as he could. Taking the cities mode of transportation, the silver haired man moved quickly towards the entrance of the city. Somewhere out there his dragon awaited him, ready to take him anywhere he wished.

((Weather is crazy I'd imagine... aww...well, I'll try and work up a post some time soon...a little hectic! ) Here comes a post Kujie! ^^) Her demeanour remained unchanged as she flitted her way through the streets. She hadn't travelled through Esthar before, mainly since she preferred to be more involved with the tenth realm than the others, but she had a brief recollection of a time she had been summoned in the streets of Esthar to help stem the flow of fiends attacking innocent people. "I sense a familiar being." she whispered, as she turned a corner, as if drawn to the soul she could sense. It was distant, but she would find it soon enough. She knew only so much, but there was a definite kindred feeling about this being. Being alone, preferring thus. So she continued to follow the being's energy. As she began to approach, closer and closer to it, she began to recognise the energy more clearly. According to her feelings, he belonged in the ninth realm. Not this one, the eighth realm, that they were both walking the streets of. But what had her stumped, was how he managed to retain his existence...where he didn't exist. Where he shouldn't exist. "It is." she whispered. She had realised whose energy she had sensed. It was Kuja...Garland's puppet. She turned another corner, and continued to follow the street, until she managed to spot him, the rain slowly pelting them both. She hadn't noticed until then, that there was what appeared to be a heavy storm appearing above them. "Perfect..." she grumbled. But her decisiveness had her continue to pump her feet along the pavement. She would approach this man. She could try and find answers, if he had any. Moments later, she had just gotten him into visual contact. And she continued to approach. The nearer she got, the more she began to remember his energy, and once she was just beside him, she made the opening gesture, a slight nod and speaking, "Nice weather tonight." she sounded icy. Hoping he would freeze in his tracks. ((sorry for the lateness! I hope this one's ok!))

Thunder clapped overhead as Kuja weaved through the throng of civilians surrounding him. The crowd was thinner than usual, thanks to the storm overhead. The entire continent seemed to be engulfed by storm clouds, which had taken Kuja a while to get used to. Rain held a sweet memory of conquest in the silver haired man's mind, but in abundance became quite a nuisance. Thankfully the beauty of the city outmatched the terrible climate.
“Nice weather tonight.”
A chill ran down Kuja's spine as the words pierced his thoughts. He was already cold, but suddenly the rain felt like nothing compared to the cold in his chest. He spun around, searching for the source of the voice. No mortal had ever had such a physical presence about them, it could only be an Eidolon.
A blond woman was standing next to Kuja, unnoticed until she spoke. Although she looked mortal, Kuja was magically inclined enough to feel the power behind her small frame. Her eyes might have given her away to a lesser spellcaster, as they shone as no mortal eyes ever could. 'So, they can take on human form' Kuja thought to himself, trying to keep the surprise from showing on his features. 'Interesting'.
“Few see beauty in the ominous clouds of a storm,” Kuja replied. He kept his voice level and his features composed, though his mind was racing with thoughts, such as why an Eidolon would seek him out. Was it for revenge? How did the Queen of Ice even know where to find him?

"Oh, a storm is the most beautiful sight one such as I, can ever have the pleasure of witnessing." she replied, a strong aura of triumph in her tone. She had a distinctive feel of "how did she find me?" from him, and it gave her a wry smile. She had many questions, but she felt that they could wait even if only for a moment. Perhaps she should 'introduce' herself, she wondered.
"Where are my manners, my name is...Ruby, and yours is?" she asked, after vaguely hesitating as she tried to find a false name for herself. She smiled a cold smile, and began a 'dive'.
"I feel you know who I truly am, so perhaps we should leave the niceties for another time. Perhaps we can find somewhere we can speak in private, without prying ears around. I have many questions, I feel you might be capable of answering, even if only slightly." she had communicated with him telepathically, she didn't need the thoughtless people of the Eighth Realm wandering around to overhear what she wanted to discuss with someone not of their Realm.
Questions needed to be answered.

((Shiva! Good to see you. Unfortunately for you guys, Fujin has moved on to another thread. What is it that's keeping Kuja so long? PM me if you want and we'll see what we can do about finding something else that you can do. I really don't want Kuja keeping you from being able to post.))

((That's a shame for her. Vagrant (err...Kuja, here) has gone on holiday to America for about two and a half more weeks, and prior to that, I think he was just far too busy to, you know...post. We didn't even see him on BG for ages. ))

((That is more of a shame for him, honestly, although I am glad to hear that he's not, you know, dead or something. I would have very much preferred for him to have told us what was going on, or at the very least send someone along to tell us. It's been July since he's even logged in. This is why we want you guys to come in and say "life is eating me," or "I'm gonna be gone for a while." It keeps us from having to debate on whether or not to delete you. :\ ))

(( Don't delete Kujie!!! O.O We'd miss him so! He hasn't really had internet access at home [nor work, from what I've gathered] since about that time. He barely could get onto Balamb to update us of his situation. Since he's pretty much using his mobile to log on. That's never fun...I tried browsing Balamb on mine, and I gave up in ten seconds. But yes, I should have gotten my butt online to update you guys, or Vincent could have, though it probably eluded his mind...I know him. *glares at Vince* But I'll get Kujie-woojie to sign on soon after his America return! I promise! ^^ ))
