Alright, it's no wonder everyone here was confused! We never moved the plot summary stuff out of the Admin board. >_< Anyway, if Alex is willing to lend you (Fujin and Tseng) the logs and let someone else watch his baby for a little bit, I have no problem with you guys shuffling through it and making sense. I have to warn you, though... it's VERY long. Full of a LOT of posts and a LOT of nonsense. Alex has done a fantastic job (so far as I know) keeping the logs and I'm eternally grateful for that, so while I have no qualms, I think it's ultimately up to him.
I can, however, give you the small intro summary that Aerith wrote to give you a little push off. It's very VERY simplified, but it's better than nothing.
"There were five worlds, each with their own histories and with their own people. And their own problems. Whether they were rotting from within by human corruption or there was a catastrophic power threatening to crash upon them, heroes rose from amongst the masses to try and save their respective worlds.
"On the Eighth planet, the Sorceress Ultimecia cast Time Kompression and threw all time and space into chaos. The SeeD Squall and his compatriots destroyed the Sorceress, but were never really able to revert the Kompression; they were able to find their little niche in time, however. This Kompressed existance proved to be extremely unstable, and Time and Space soon imploded in upon itself. Like a great tear in the fabric of the universe, Time Kompression spread and the other five worlds were absorbed in the chaos.
"Thus the land of Lanif Ysatnaf was born.
"The heroes of the different worlds were scattered around the world, some landing in familiar places, others in not so familiar, and spent a while getting used to what just happened. People who were supposed to be alive were dead, and the dead lived again. What should have been remembered was forgotten, and adults were children. Time itself was shuffled and people all along history were thrust into this chaos. People from the past were meeting those from the future. In the middle of all this, a man appeared, long auburn hair blowing in the wind. His face was masked in pure white porcelain and was wearing pure white clothing. He traveled with them, introducing himself as Xenos, and accompanied them on Setzer's airship: the Falcon. It wasn't long after that his true intentions were made clear- he had no interest in letting them live. With the powerful Dragon Queen Tiamat by his side, he successfully crashed the mighty airship and once again scattered the players. Battered and worn, but not beaten, the party decided to journey over the mountains to Junon for supplies. Unbeknownst to them, Xenos had a plan.
"Xenos traveled ahead of the heroes and swiftly allied himself to the city. When the heroes arrived, they were greeted with a less than warm welcome. Forced to retreat, they followed Cloud's direction to the Underwater Reactor and their docked submarines. Xenos, too, was well aware of the only escape available beneath tons of pressing ocean. He sent Tiamat ahead to becon the serpent Evrae Altana from her deep slumber of death. When the heroes reached the glass tunnels, the great undead creature began to assault the one thing between them and a crushing end. It began with a simple crack in the thick glass, then a droplet. Soon, water poured into their precarious bubble. Aerith brought out her Materia and cast a Barrier to protect them when the tunnel walls failed. Slowly, they inched toward the airlock. Aerith, Rinoa, and Squall were the final three to enter when the ocean, and Evrae, rushed in. Squall, ever the gallant hero, pushed the two women into the closing door. They watched as the opeining shrank and blocked their view from the swordsman determined to protect his allies.
"Aerith was no longer able to keep up the weakening barrier and it was soon after the doors locked with a hiss that a terrible bass thunder filled the dry room. The wave crashed against the door. Squall was dead. Rinoa pressed herself against the seams of the door and listened to the heavy silence. Her eyes grew blank and distant when she backed away from the door. The white materia in Aerith's hair hummed resonant when the Sorceress unleashed Holy through the door. There was a screech as Evrae Altana dissolved beneath the ultimate white magic, then both mage women collapsed.
"It was much later when they awoke - tired, thirsty, and numb - on the shores just outside of the Opera House. Meanwhile, Xenos had taken Squall, slightly less than dead, to his tower: Ultimecia's Castle. There, he turned the knight to the villain's side...."
We have yet to add the Opera House or the Bevelle Saga and this is missing the fight where Xenos pretty much told Tidus that he was the one who would have to kill him. I miss Tidus. ._.
