Considering the fact I already knew KH Squall was impossible, I just need to get back into contact with the guy, and see if he'll go for Yojimbo, because I don't think he really knows FFVI that much... >.> <.<
And there there Cloud.

Setzer, leave Aerith alone about her VII love.
I'll bet VIII didn't even rank.
I love FFVI but I'm so bad at 2-d games it's not even funny. AND Shane took anthology away from us..... Am I giving you any christmas gift ideas yet? XD

Hey, despite my inordinate knowledge of the esoteric basis of Final Fantasy VII (have I lost anyone yet? I'm chilling in my English class atm), I am weary of the copious amounts of .... bullshit.
OK, so... End game Squall vs Cloud, no GF/Materia equip. Cloud would win... but he's got the advantage of Death Alien and Pure Energy. Now put the two of them up, same age, initial equip. That's right, folks. MP Cloud vs SeeD cadette Squall, HEAVEN OR HELL! FIGHT!

(Heaven or Hell? Round one: Fight!)
Uh huh..... Squall would win by a landslide.... but what if you paired them up against Locke?
.... He'd steal their clothses and they'd end up being "B-day suit" just like everyone else. amahright?

With all those belts on? Nobody is getting those pants off of Squall by force unless his legs are coming off with them.
MP Cloud has a gun, doesn't he? That's an advantage. Then again, Weapons Monthly says guns are weak weapons in the world of FFVIII. But then, Barret's arm was shot off. Does that mean that FFVIII's world has some special defense against guns, or that the make of guns in FFVIII's world is just really crappy? Hmm...

All the good guns are in Esthar...
...or attatched to swords.
Cloud would pwn ass if Squall burned Nibelheim...

MP Cloud took down the most powerful fighter in all the lands (Sephiroth, for those of you not following). If you think he's going down to a depressed teenager, you're sadly mistaken.

He didn't beat him in a fair fight, he had a crazed a adrenal rush and OHKO'd him by chucking him off a cliff when he didn't expect it. If they had been fighting in a ring, Sephiroth would have schooled him fifty times before graduation. And seriously, Sephiroth was being an idiot in that "fight". Why would you hold on to the sword when he's picking you up by it?
Actually, is it just my imagination, or does Sephiroth make a lot of poor choices in battle? "Oh hey, this is the guy who's taken me down twice before and we're fighting on even ground now. Oh look, an opening. I'll stab him in the shoulder and taunt him for a while. Over-confidence in my victory and psychologically torturing Cloud for shits and giggles has sure never let me down before!"
Anyways, rock =/= scissors. SeeD Squall took out the X-ATM092, which is undoubtedly capable of schooling MP Cloud. That doesn't mean he can beat Cloud. (Note: That doesn't mean he can't, but it also doesn't mean he can.)

See, if Squall and Cloud were to actually participate in one on one combat, I see them being rather evenly matched, especially since both use sword weapons, and would be able to parry one another without hesitation.
Keep in mind, if it was end game Squall, versus end game Cloud, (with both characters having their ultimate weapon), Squall's Lionheart, would pulse through Cloud's blade, and just melt it into nothing, giving Squall a serious advantage, more than before. See, in my opinion, taking out one of the biggest and baddest of sorceresses, plus prior defeating 2 other Sorceresses (Edea and Adel) add to that, becoming Sorceress Rinoa's Knight, he'd be about as powerful as any SOLDIER 1st Class. Even though Sephiroth went higher than first Class, he did make many mistakes when he fought Cloud. He had countless openings to just kill him, but never took any of them, and instead chose to poke at Cloud's nerves, till he popped.
Had Sephiroth taken those chances, Cloud would have died before even coming close to meeting Barret, and just after Tifa was probably 16. In a real fight, Cloud would be arse-raped by Sephiroth 100-fold. And he would be about as likely to beat Squall, being that Squall is a true warrior. A mercenary who lives only to fulfill his quota in each assignment he is given. Squall will not care to die, as long as he succeeds his mission, that is really all he cares about, until Rinoa, but she's still not as important to him as his career, I'd hope...no offence to our current and new Rinoa!

I think you're mistaking Squall's career mindedness for plain old loneliness. I highly doubt Squall cares more about being a SeeD/Headmaster more than Rinoa. And hey, pushing a guy off a cliff while he's got his backed tuned is still a victory in my book.

Squall is going to stay away from the Cloud vs Squall thing. Miles and miles away. … I just like the idea of them fighting. ;;; So… I’ll be over here. Squall will not care to die, as long as he succeeds his mission, that is really all he cares about, until Rinoa, but she's still not as important to him as his career, I'd hope...no offence to our current and new Rinoa! I think I’d have to disagree with you there Vincent. Rinoa definitely seems to be more important to Squall than his career and even his duty. (At least I believe so.) He proves this in the game when he follows her into space and when he frees her from her confinement in Esthar. He swears (to himself!) that if even the world turns its back on her, he’ll be her knight. …This ain’t normal procedure for a SeeD. And definitely not a SeeD commander- it will not help Squall further his career nor look good on his resume! (I helped the sorceress?) SeeD’s are bound to fight/defeat the sorceress, which Rinoa proves herself to be- as well as a bit of a puppet for Ultimecia at times- Squall chooses Rinoa and the danger she brings, over his duty. =D Aaand I feel like I’m ranting. I’m not. He’s a cold hearted tard most of the time, but I’m firmly of the belief that Squall is a bit crazyinlove with Rinoa.
