Oh, sure.
Lies, lies! Surely the atmosphere is different all the way up there?

What's that? You say you want pies with pears? Bah. Everyone knows that pear is just a poor man's apple. *pelts Kefka with pears*

I believe that all characters have gone insane Well, if you guys have plot for them specifically then Vincent we could scrap ours for now. The Ifa Tree run does sound cool. Oh and throwing pears is a waste of such a wonderful fruit

Well, we don't need to scrap it per se. We could postpone our little plotline plan, yes? I'd rather not take too much from Vivi, since he's the only FFIX character who we have going around. I see no point counting Kuja, since he's so far away from us, and sparsely active. I'm talking about characters in our close group.
I don't like pears...cheap imitation of apples.
*claps hands, and transmutates*
Pizza anyone?
*transmuted pizza out of the 'raw materials' required to make pizza*

D: I love pears!
The IX thing... it's going to be a pretty personal experience. It won't really take any IX knowledge, persay, but you're going to get to take a trip into your own memories. It's a chance for you guys to play around with your pasts, and perhaps discuss them with eachother.
If that sounds good to you, it really shouldn't take too long. What's being talked about in IM isn't likely too happen terribly soon, either, for various reasons. We just want to throw a little main plottage your way.

yeah plot and boooo taking too long! Heh, I feel so weird referencing conversations that have taken place on a less permanent system. Anyways, pears are great and so are apples. To compare them would involve oranges. I like the idea of personal experience though. However, I'd have to make up a lot for Tseng. He doesn't have much of a backstory

We're all for making things up here. We make all kinds of awesome things up.

That, and his only back-story is actually covered inconsequentially in prequel's. And we here don't like that. Right, so we'll hit up our memories, get drunk with our memory selves and hiccup as Vincent falls down...yes?

We're all for making things up here. We make all kinds of awesome things up. Excellent, good to know. Hopefully, I won't disappoint you as I explore more of his past and bring up memories more distant than I've used so far In any event, it sounds like Cloud should be fine... he's done this sort of thing already

Actually, I think our rule is that you can use Compilations backstories as a starting point, so long as the information doesn't directly relate to other characters, and doesn't contradict what's in the pre-compilations game. I think.

I would imagine that to be the case, but since a lot in, for example, my compilations back-story contradicts the original, I think it varies, character to character.
I suppose it's good that only one of the Final Fantasies has prequel and sequel's. And yes, FFX-2 does not exist, well...acording to most people. XD

Okay so it's fine as a starting point, so I won't be flayed alive as long as I don't contradict given plot or storyline with my ideas. Excellent, the clarifications have been most helpful.

I still say FFX-2 is awesome as long as you ignore the massage minigame and every instance of the phrase "friendly neighborhood gullwings". It has by far my favorite battle system in a Final Fantasy, too. Well, unless you count Triple Triad as a battle system.
Yeah, it wouldn't be very fair of us if we let you make up your own past but barred you from using the one in compilation. How would that make sense, you know? It's just that you can only use parts that don't contradict anyone's established past in FFVII. This is a less viable stance with FFX-2, since that game isn't a prequel. Still, some characters have a little extra backstory in that game. Wakka, for example.

I hope that it is not too late to put my input in here... i really don't mind missing the Iifa tree as FFIX experience. I was not even really sure what I was going to do there anyways...
