Okay, I want to ask this before I make another faux paus like the phone thing when I first got here: How does combat work and what is the etiquette for it and your descriptions? It's an open ended question, I know. However, I don't want to make a mistake in my posting etiquette.

Don't godmode. You can't dodge every hit. Just the same, not all of your hits connect. You are not invincible. Don't write out the actions of another player's character unless you have permission. Do not fight with the intent to kills another player's character. Your character might be compelled to, but unless you have permission, you may not kill a character. Monsters, of course, are not characters, and are therefore killable.
Umm... I think that's it? Otherwise, it really is pretty open ended. How you describe your abilities is up to you. Some of us actually call out spell/ability names, others simply describe the action taken. If you want, you can clarify the ability used at the end of your post.

Oh, and you may only take one "combat action" per post. That includes attacking regularly and any ability not marked with ~. This is really only important while fighting AoG enemies, since you can feel free to kick the crap out of a monster you made yourself, and in a duel between two or more characters you can all fight however you want as long as everyone agrees with it. AoG monsters are bosses, though, so everyone has to fight them the same.

Thanks, I didn't realize that the combat system was as open-ended as it looked. I'll be sure to get stabbed a bit anyways. It builds character and at least you know where their weapon is. Aiuchi and all that I'll keep everything here in mind.
