The wind blows cold and wet down from Ysatnaf and Gagazet. The heavy grey clouds above promise lots of snow and block out most of the sunlight. Even noon would feel like twilight this close to the mountains. Trees are lush on this side of the peaks, deep green pines creating a soft carpet of needles to walk on. If one wasn't careful, the traveler might become lost in the finger like ranges and valleys. Keep a close look for a quick turn east, then head due west to cross. Too much further will lead the unwary traveler to waterfalls, cliffs, then ocean.

Sephiroth gave his first step on the freezed green floor. After giving a heavy cold breath, his mind couldn't think on anything else but to move on. 'I can't believe i'm back to this uneasy weather...' The general gave a quick glance to Shiva. She was probably not feeling anything at all, what made he hide a simple smirk. She was cold as his spirit; maybe both of them were the ones not feeling that annoyed at all. He turned to the companions. "Seems our journey will keep going further. What are your objectives at all? Caring to find someone? Or it's just to annoy me like Zacks does?" He let go some of his deep sarcasm, although it wasn't his intention at first. But he needed to know, as his general usual feelings, if the 'soldiers' he had to move on together were for real or just passing by. (i feel a little rusty...^^

Zack shot the leather-clad man a glance. "I'm not here to annoy you. That's just a wonderful side effect. It's like explosives, but then again, that'd be your department, Reno." He elbowed the Turk in the ribs jokingly (Zack never heard about the Sector 7 Plate). His spirits were lifted once they were out of the haunted city. Truth be told, the SOLDIER was ready to be on his way. He was thoughtful for a while, the four of them on the narrow dirt road that should take them to the coastline, but from the looks of it, ran into a different land mass entirely. "Aerith is out there." He said, barely audible. "Look at us. Seph, you and I should be dead. There's a chance that we can find her. I mean, anything can happen now, right?" He didn't sound melancholy, but hopeful. Soldier Sabre was strapped against his back like the Buster Sword from so long ago. It pressed reassuringly against his left thigh as he walked. "Hey, Reno. Next town, let's stop at the pub. Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and a beer. Breakfast of champions!"

Reno bit back a little bit of guilt at the mention of explosives. That had turned out real well, hadn't it. Still he grinned and snapped his fingers and winked while he shot back at Zack, "Bombs away!" He straightened and looked to Sephiroth. The General. He looked so perfect with this harsh climate. Though Reno was sure that Sephiroth could feel the cold, he didn't give sign of it. His pale skin and hair stood in stark contrast against the heavy brown rock and ashen grass, the black of his leather coat blended in to the same landscape. Reno felt for a moment out of place with the General-- He just could get over how STRANGE it was to see him walking around... much less with HIM. He shook off the feeling. "That's what I'm here for: the good food and the ladies." He winked at Shiva, but returned his attention to the General. "The food in the military was always fantastic." The sarcasm dripped from his words. There was no point in saying what was already known. Reno was there....
Well, he supposed the reasons were unknown....
He added more seriously, "I don't need to talk for Zack and all, since he's loud enough as it is, but we're all that's left of ShinRa and you're not crazy like you were. Off the deep end, you know? You're the revered General and if anyone can make the decisions it's you." He scratched his head as though uncomfortable at his own supportive words. "I'm not tryin' to ruin the mood, but I've got faith in you and I'm gonna be where my allegiances lie." He sniffed. "You can't get rid of me, so give it up. I'm aching for those eggs and hashbrowns. Not to mention the booze. Zack, you buyin'?"

Sephiroth let the head rest in one of his black gloved hands. That headache was not quite because of the weather, he knew that. Pressing his eyes, the general murmured in a bored tone. "This must be my charism..." It was amazing how people could be so open with a word or two. They trust him? After all he has done, they still trust...
"Funny thing..." -he murmured like thinking loud- "even i don't trust myself. That's why people like you always end up killed."
Turning to the men by his side, and knowing for sure they wouldn't leave him even though he says so, the silver haired man added in a serious tone.
"As long you two don't stand on my way, do whatever you please. But I'm not easy like the allies you have been walking along on your quests. Now stop whinning and move. The weather is an enemy as dangerous as the monsters we find on our way."
Starting to walk, Sephiroth kept Zack's words on his mind. Yes, Aerith could be alive, as he had mentioned. But...what would be her reaction to see the soldier by the side of her killer? He didn't even thought about that? 'I guess i'm thinking too much lately...let things happen...' quickly, Sephiroth let the freezing wind take his thoughts away, as he looked with determination to the horizon. 'Yes...many things will happen...'

((It's kinda boring in here... now what?))
"Man, Seph, I don't know what you mean by 'easy allies,'" Zack said as he jogged to catch up with his friend. "You've never been easy. Or leniant." He paused to scramble over a rock -- the general practically flew over it. "Or kind, understanding, and sympathetic. That's what I'm here for. If you're the brain, then I'm the heart." He thumped his chest with a fist. "I took care of that whole empathy business. We made such a good team, remember? Just you and me, we made our odd handful of soldiers worth a hundred of their's." He paused for a moment, pretending to wipe a tear from his eye. "Ah, those were the good old days."
"Reno! For a Turk, you sure are slow. Double slow. I'm buying the big three "B"s: breakfast, booze, and bed. Come on, hustle. Move, move, move!" He laughed. "See, I don't understand why you 'secret agents' have to wear such fancy duds. I mean, it's not very practical for field assignments now is it. When we get back to HQ, you should talk to Heidigger about that. At least get some shoes with tread in 'em."
((I have no idea what we're doing... Heading to Bevelle, I guess.))

Reno rolled his eyes and picked up the pace until he'd caught up with the other two. "Brain and heart, huh? Then what am I? With muscles like you two, I can't very well be the beast of burden!" He thouht a moment, slowing down and fallin behind again. "Ah.... I do bombs.... I like the sound of that: Reno, explosions specialist." He grinned dazedly, then pulled himself out of it only to jump back up to speed with the other two. "I doubt you're easier that Tseng, but THAT man was a BEAST." Reno shook his head. "I have no idea what it's like to work under the Great Sephiroth."

The general raised an eyebrow. 'I just want to impale them once... just once!' The guys' behavior was making Sephiroth remember many of the times on the army, indeed. 'But not good memories... and now i can't just send them to jail...'
Giving an annoyed breath, the silver clad man just kept his walking on the direction of the thin road, near the imponent mountain. The freezing wind wasn't as bad as the thoughts that were invading his mind...
((so, next step...Bevelle! Who's with me?))

Zack laughed. "I'm sure Tseng is a beast," he said with an evil grin. "It's definately something else to work under Seph." That grin turned into a cackle. Then he looked over at the icy presence of the ex-general. "Come on, man. You've always been aloof, but, geez! Smile! Life could be worse."
((To Bevelle!))
