Vivi saw the snake go down. He was fairly impressed that only two shots downed it... that is until he noticed that it didn't go all the way down. It tightened itself into a tight ball and sat there.
"guys..." Vivi stammered, "That thing is not dead yet... But don't hit it right now." Not sure how exactly to explain the Dragon snake's tactics. "Wait till it stands back up, and then give it all you've got."
Remembering from the last time he fought the monster, Vivi recalled that it was vulnerable to Ice Magic, and started to bring his powerful ice spells to the front of his mind.
Without any further notice, Ralvuimago leaped back into action with a stinging bite to Vincent, or what would have been. Instead it snapped but immediately recoiled when a piller of magical ice rose from the ground and enveloped the snake, inflicting its cold damage and then shattering, leaving Ralvuimago recoiling.
"Are you alright?" Vivi asked the man. Although by the time he turned back to Ralvuimago he saw it bearing right down on him. Vivi let loose another barrage of magical ice, hoping that it slowed the snake down enough for him to move before he was crushed.
((Not exactly how I wanted this to turn out, but i needed to get a post in for the story... By the way... Jave Vincent and Vivi actually been introdiced? I don't remember if they have or not...))

Tifa shifted nervously. The large snake-like creature would be difficult for her to handle effectively. Long range and magic seemed to be the best option for attacking the beast, her hand-to-hand combat skills would be hard-pressed to handle the job.
Tossing her dark, collected mane of hair over her shoulder, she cast worried glances between her friends before setting herself. The three of them seemed to have things well in-hand. But while she was confident in Cloud's skills and Vivi's magic, she was not naive enough to think she was unnecessary, or that they might not need back up.
Checking her pocket, she felt the partially used vial of potion that she'd found as she fled Bevelle. Reno probably dropped it. I wonder if he's okay. She shook her head. Now was not the time to be thinking of that arrogant redhead. The potion, however, might come in handy.
Watching the snake, her gaze slid briefly to Cloud, then back to the monster as a pillar of ice crashed home into it. What she wouldn't give for some materia right now.

No real idea as to what they were fighting, he suspected only the little black mage child, Vivi had experience with the snake. He wasn't sure of what was going to happen, or what they could do, he was without Materia, and from his guess, so was Tifa. Perhaps Cloud was using some, and could help Vivi provide Magical support if his blade didn't quite just cut it.
"It's strong. It won't be easy to defeat head-on." he spoke concisely, short and to the point, as he always did.
He looked to Cloud, nodding slightly.
Without waiting for an answer to his obvious plan, he ran forward, watching the snake's movement's carefully. He went to it's side, and watched as it followed his path with it's head. It's forked tongue raking the stale air in determined intervals as it checked it's surroundings.
He fired another round at the snake, not taking aim at any particular spot on it's body, only trying to bait it into another attack on him whilst his comrades prepared themselves accordingly.
This might be tough, but he knew they would never let him down. They'd been through too much together.

Cloud nodded back at Vincent, pointing his palms at the Snake. He waited for it to stand as Vivi said, and unleashed an Ice 3 spell when he got the chance. Vive must have caused a good amount of damage to it, as it froze in place. As Vincet got his shot off, a crack appeared in the ice.
"Won't be easy, huh?"
Cloud said, a bit of disappointment in his voice. Really, was that the best it could do? Of course, the thought was dashed from his mind when the Snake creature burst out of it's Ice prison, although visibly more wounded.
"Well, I'll be damned. You can't ever be wrong, can you Vincent?"
Cloud said, a smirk on his face as he drew his Murasame.

((ok. i changed the post a little, but the concept is still the same.I like this one a little better, but still not entirely happy with it.))
Vivi continued his assault on the snake for another few minutes taking obvious care to not hit any of his friends with his attacks. After the Snake was obviously weakening Vivi paused to survey the Battle. Looking around he saw cloud take hold of his sword and Vincent, who's gun seemed to be doing some damage, but mainly he was distracting the snake from him. He reminded himself to thank him for that later. He wasn't sure if he would even survive a hit from the terrible monster.
Thinking about his last battle with Ralvuimago caused Vivi to think again about his friends from his World. Eventually his thoughts landed on Steiner and his idea from a long time ago.
"Cloud! I think i know how to finish this beast off!" he yelled. "I need you to attack the monster with your sword!" He immediately started casting a powerful ice magic targeting Cloud's sword, while also preparing another Ice 3 spell for after if this didn't work. He didn't want to leave Cloud unprotected with reach of the Ralvuimago.
As if the monster heard him yell, it snapped his focus onto Vivi and Started to charge. "Hurry Cloud!" he yelled hoping that he wasn't about to get trampled by the snake before it was too late.

Cloud didn't have to be told twice. The murasame was raised and lowered as the spell hit, and Ralvuimago roared in pain as the blade pierced it and the cold froze it from the inside. The monster shattered into pieces as Cloud withdrew his katana, and sheathed.
"Well...That's an interesting trick Vivi. I've never seen that before. Is that some kind of special Materia you're using, that let's you augment weapons like that?

"Materia?" Vivi had never heard of Materia before. "That is something I learned to do with my friends."
Glad to see that the Snake was finally gone, Vivi glanced around to better survey his surroundings. Over in the corner of the cave they were in he saw a wierd thistle looking plant growing. Vivi walked over to inspect the area further, and saw a weird rail that had been long since overrun with roots and weeds.
"Could this be real?" Vivi asked. "Hey guys, i think i just found a quicker way through this place. This Plant is the main food of an animal called a gargant. if wi pick some of it up and hold it towards this rail, it will come here and we can ride it to the end. Don't worry, they aren't dangerous."
Vivi relaxed a little, hoping that the Gargant would actually come, and that it wasn't too scared to give them a lift.
"Does anyone need to rest before we try this?" Vivi asked. He had to admit to himself, since The Sinspawn attacked outside the city he had not even though of resting, and his magical powers were starting to run low.

Vincent had seemed to serve his selected purpose decently well in that fight, and found himself comfortable with the turn out. It was a strange attack that the little mage had caused Cloud to use, but its effectiveness, was nothing short of fantastic. For a small creature, he seriously could pack a punch. He must have either some heavy hitting Materia, or he was just naturally gifted in magic, somehow. But judging by Vivi's response to Cloud's question about Materia; Vincent guessed it to be the latter.
"I think we could all use a rest. We're inclined to face worse dangers than this on a trip this dangerous. We've ventured into locations unknown to us, and so we need to be at the very peak, if we wish to survive." he stated, somewhat distractedly.
He was surprised by Chaos' lack of activity at this time. Was it asleep? Or just waiting for a time to take him over? He feared the second option, but the first seemed inappropriate, as though it just seemed; uncharacteristic.
He wasn't sure, but something was giving him a sinking feeling.
