Vivi looks remarkably like a child. He is short in height, and wares a loose fitting blue cloak that looks to be sewn together in many places. He also wares a pointy hat that characteristically droops in almost like a child like manner.

Vivi doesn’t remember a whole lot about where he came from. In fact, he cannot remember where he was before he was being raised by his adoptive “Grandfather” Quan, who was a Qu that lived in the mountain region near Treno. During the quest to save the planet from a genome named Kuja, Viv discovered that many Black Mages like him were being mass produced as weapons. This thought almost broke Vivi and for a while he had thought that maybe he had been created for the sole purpose of killing. This thought forced Vivi to discover who he actually was. During his travels he and his friends had discovered a Black Mage village on the Outer Continent where other Black Mages like himself had developed a will of their own and wanted to live in peace. Viv had learned much from these Black Mages, and they had helped him to realize that no matter the reason that he was alive, everyone had the ability to change their own fate. After Kuja had been defeated, Vivi set out on a journey to discover more about who he was. He started in the place that always gave him hope. The Black Mage Village. The first night he was there, there was a tremendous rain storm that had lulled Vivi into a very deep sleep.
