FFI Job IndexFor a while now, we've been throwing around the idea of revamping the Job Wheel. It served us well while we had it, but with a shiny new board, we really needed a shiny new job system. You'll find that things are very familiar. We still have the same amount of job classes, as well as the same number of levels in each class. Some jobs have been discarded, others added. Some abilities have been moved around or changed. There are now exactly 12 abilities per job level, for every level. No more gaining only a couple of abilities per level; no more gaining more than 12 abilities per level (awwwww!). We've also done away with stats, since none of us were using them, anyway. Hopefully this isn't too much of a change for you guys. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, and we'll see if we can't take care of those for you. Also: the pages are hosted on Geocities, so they might be a little buggy, but they should work for the most part.

Oh, and you all get a respec.
That is to say, you all get all of your AP back, and you all get to pick a new job class if you find the changes make you want a different class now.
Also, the following characters get the following abilities free of charge:
Auron: His starting ability, Power Break (Knight). Due to his unsent nature, Pyreflies (Devout). Because he's from Bevelle, Bevellian (Machinist).
Celes: Because it's her ability, Runic (Sorcerer). As a Magitek Knight, Vectorian (Machinist). As her starting spell, Blizzard (Black Mage).
Cloud: Because he starts with the materia, Thunder (Black Mage). As a former Shinra MP, Midgarian (Machinist). Because he uses it on Sephiroth if you don't select Omnislash, Counterattack (Back Belt).
Fujin: Since their technology is pretty standard in FFVIII, Galbadian (Mechanic). Because her weapon is thrown, Throw (Ninja). Since she absorbed Wind elements, Geomantic (Geomancer). I'd have given her spells, but you commented once that she has no spells due to a lack of GFs.
Kuja: Because it's his Trance move, Ultima (Black Mage). But you can't Trance without permission, because Trance Kuja destroys planets. For all the time he spent in Alexandria, Alexandrian (Machinist). Because Kuja is such a mage, Demi (Ninja). Why Demi? Because you got Ultima, and Demi is the weakest spell Kuja knows. It needs to balance out. XD
Odin: Come back and help us decide. D:
Rinoa: As a sorceress without control, Magic Lore (Scholar). As a resistance member, Steal (Thief). As a Galbadian...uhh...Galbadian (Mechanic). She might not seem technically inclined, but she did live on a train. That's got to count for something.
Sephiroth: Without needing explanation, Meteor (Black Mage). This is not the apocalypse doom Meteor unless you actually get your hands on the Black Materia. As a former First Class Soldier, Junonian and Midgarian (Mechanic).
Shiva: For the ice queen, Blizzard, Blizzara, and Blizzaga (Black Mage). Simple, yes, but understandably so.
Tifa: Because she is an awesome martial artists, Tornado Kick and Repeating Fist (Monk). Because her threat to smash Don Coneo's testicles worked better than Cloud's cutting or Aerith's ripping threats, Threaten (Mediator). No Mechanic ability, since all the technology she's used to is broken slums technology and backwater Nibelheim tech.
Tseng: For an administrative Turk, Junonian and Midgarian. Since even an administrative Turk is a Turk, and Turks do dirty work, Secret Fist (Monk).
Vincent: For a Turk with a gun, Called Shot (Gunner). For a Turk in general, Junonian (Machinist). For a monster man, Berserk (Black Belt).
Vivi: As an obvious Black Mage, Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder (Black Mage). Consider yourself a Geomancer three AP early.
Admins may pick their own three abilities, and the three abilities for their alts. The villains may take their own three abilities as well. Try to make them fitting, not just strong or convenient. For Reno, I suggest the ability SPIDERMAN, which lets characters climb walls that have no business being climbed. Oh, it might not be in there, but it's there in spirit.

I know, but it was three abilities to a character. What do you care, anyways? You have like 114 AP. If you want Ice you can just master the whole Black Mage job. XD

...You just...have it. Pick it up off of the floor. Buy it in a show. Find a small cache of materia in the caves. Write as though you always had the materia. We really don't care how you implement your abilities. Have fun with it!

Haha! This would be a good opportunity to say, "Look, Vivi! This is materia. Can you say 'materia'?"
