Stumble upon a mako fountain or something. Pick a couple of hunks of materia up. It's okay, you're allowed.

We. *COULD* find a couple of Materia on the ground in Fossil Roo... I mean, they could be lying in a corner and you could just happen to notice them...

Stumble upon a mako fountain or something. If only more of those had existed in FF7, I wouldn't have had to spend hours carrying around so much worthless Materia.

Hell yes. I like. I very much like. Free Power Break and a second level ability in my "Pyreflies" ability. Score. And that's a pretty handy sounding ability.
I'm staying White Mage though, since I'd nearly finished it anyway. No point changing last second. Besides, it gets me being original. Hahaha.
EDIT: On that note, HOLY SHIT! This post hit me to the Lvl 2 mark, by being my 120th post. Yay? White Mage mastered. lol

You would actually be an Artist. Or not. Really, you get to pick your job. I just gave you some starter abilities that fit your character. If you want to be a Machinist, you can select artist as your job and then once you hit 120 posts you'll be a Machinist. ^_^

Yet another reason to stick around. So you can get the awesome abilities you are denied at the beginning XD

I think we all enjoy being appreciated. But considering the hard work and effort you guys all threw in, you deserve it.

BAD NEWS: It appears that Geocities is shutting down in October, which means the Job Index will no longer be online. This means I'm going to need somewhere to put the nice, pretty job wheel, or we will be without one. If anyone has any ideas where I can put the pages up for free, I'd be grateful to hear them.

Photobucket, Youtube (I know that sounds weird), or even maybe send it around as an offline document we send to new players?

I'm looking for something HTML based, free hosting, basically. If I have to, I'll find a format in which it can be downloaded via the link in the application, but I'd like to avoid that at all costs. The basis of that job index revolves around clickable links, to keep everything neat and tidy, and I can't think of another application that can do that better than HTML.
Just as a note: the HTML is archived and safe, so no worries there. Geocities going down just means it's no longer online. Actually, if all else fails, I'll just take screenshots of the pages and link them individually. It won't look pretty, but it'll work.
I'm bummed, though. All that work...

It's pretty sad that it's happening, but I'm sure we can find some free webhosting somewhere. Google might have something that we all missed... all their stuff is free. In any event, what if we made it into a pdf file then with clickable links within if you want to keep it looking nice an neat
