Wutai

A small country occupying an island just to the west of the main continent, Wutai was once a proud and powerful nation before losing its independence in a war with Shinra. Some would see it return to its former glory, however, and the recent loss of contact with Shinra has done much to strengthen these ambitions. The country's large pagoda still stands as a bastion of cultural identity, but the loss of the Da Chao mountain is considered by many to be a bad omen.
