Got it, the answer was clear enough I think I should be good for now on questions regarding the past. Almost tempted to sit down and compile all my notes into something more readable for reference later instead of the mass scribblings I've got written down in real space right now.

Sorry it's so much info. Really I don't remember it all. I wish Aerith was here to back me up. I'm pretty useless without her. XD I'm doing the best I can, though!!

Okay the revamping of the Job Tree along with all the crazy questions that have been asked by me and others has caused the realization that we lack a really coherent FAQ for the website. I know that there are summaries all over the board and a general bit was in the Applications thread, but overall most new characters probably would be confused by all the events which have occurred prior to the formation of this specific forum.
At present, I lack the information or resources necessary to truly compile the series of events which have been integral to the plot line, and I'm under the impression that at some point a great cataclysm occurred which shattered the majority of the logged information this forum had stored away. However, would it be reasonable and feasible for a concise summary of events to be posted somewhere? This isn't a request that it be done immediately but rather I'm curious if it would even be possible to do since some information has been irrevocably lost.
If needed, I'd be willing to shift through data and piece stuff together if people had logs they didn't want to trudge through. Analysis of information and filing is actually a fun activity for me.

Dude, sometimes you sound all together too much like me. That said, I'd also be willing to help compile information once I get home.

You like paperwork too? Holy... um... bananas! I didn't think anyone else knew the joy of organizing data into concise coherent forms for the sheer sake of improving ones understanding of the universal concept of self. Normally, people say I'm crazy.

Well, I don't take it quite -that- personally, but I do like to sort and organize things. Oddly enough, this doesn't really translate into my home life, as my place is usually a total mess >_<

Those of us who follow the path of self enlightenment through organization must abstain from organizing our own rooms because if we were to organize our own rooms we would achieve transcendence. In other words, I understand completely because my home organization consists of pile A thru E.

If I'm not mistaken, Alex has all the logs. I could have sworn that there was a thread that we DID post a summary of what happened. I'll have to take a look.
EDIT: Let me open up another thread for this.

Well, we do have an FAQ. It's just that nobody asks questions in it and I'll be damned if I'm going to merge every topic full of questions with the FAQ. I did my part by making the thread. You guys are supposed to be asking stuff in there so I can add them to the FAQ. XD

On the subject of pyreflies, I'd like to randomly point out that fiends, Unsent, Aeons, and Sin are comprised entirely of pyreflies. This means that for a person with a strong enough will, pyreflies can be controlled much more intricately and permanently than materia, to the point where you can just order them to make you a new body, a weapon, or servant creature. The only problem is that everyone seen with the capacity to manipulate pyreflies is either dead or a summoner, and even then summoners can only do it to Send things. Yes, I'm comprised entirely of Pyreflies, which would thus explain why I can continue to look as though I've aged, correct? (That would be the immediate assumption, and the most valid deduction) And since I only just read this thread and this particular post, I quickly thought of something that came to mind. So I figure I should ask and bring it up for my sake, at the very least. Through that supposed manipulation of Pyreflies, would that thus make it possible for me do some things that you mentioned, such as forming a new weapon or a pet monster (though the latter seems a whole lot more unreasonable than the former) at a whim? Obviously performing such an act would be something requiring permission to some extent from staff, if not entirely, but I figure I'll ask and check it out.

Well, Seymour did it, so I don't think it's impossible for you to do it. However, Seymour was also a powerful mage and summoner in life, while Auron was a physical fighter. I'd say it's not impossible for you to do those things, but you probably couldn't do it as well as Seymour could. Just clear it with us before you do anything too extreme and we shouldn't have any problems.

I see. That makes a lot of sense. Good stuff. I'll probably only ever do it for a weapon upgrade once every three years or something Unless I turn evil. (:<

Auron would probably spell the end of us all. I mean the bad guys already have better organization and world altering magic. With Auron on their side and the power of pyreflies at their finger tips, they'd only need to find a way to take over ShinRa and they'd be set. Okay so I maybe exaggerating, but man would I never want to have Auron fighting against me. That guy just never seemed to die.

You can't kill Auron. He's like Final Fantasies version of Chuck Norris.
Auron doesn't die, he let's everyone else that should die, die.

Just when you think you've gotten rid of Chuck Norris...
I came really close to meeting the guy when he was still doing Walker, Texas Ranger. Which really isn't much of a stretch, given that the bulk of the episodes were shot in my area. Damnit, now I have the song stuck in my head...
