But then we'll always have to stand, and you can't be evil without sitting evilly and stroking a cat. D: Truly Vincent has an anti-villain plan worth considering. Actually that does beg the question about who the real villain in all this is. I mean it almost seems like this is just one large misunderstanding that through reason and logic we can sort this fight out. Really how many people would attack an innocent sitting muscle. I humbly submit that Vincent is the guilty and evil party in this. As a side note, who honestly is left to stand in Xenos's way as in... which group actually has any real firepower at this point to even commence a battle? I know there are a group of people chasing him down, but who hasn't lost to him yet out of the old guard that existed before the current iteration of the board? In the end, Vincent wouldn't dare destroy Tseng's ability to sit evilly with a cat as he has the true power in Hybrid! MWHAHAHAHAHA! *cue Turk music*

*a small part of Alexander's lower back castles explode* What the hell was that? O.o Anyways, Tseng, you're pretty much right that it's mostly a misunderstanding. Xenos' only villainous trait seems to be how spiteful he is toward Squall. Otherwise he seems to genuinely want to save the world. He seems way more like an anti-hero than a villain. Edit: Hey wait, does this make us all assless chaps?

Well, really I'm sure Xenos is going to get more and more crazy as things go on. His current sanity is simply because he hasn't been mostly eaten by whatever made him a magic-user. When Time Kompression occurred, Xenos was pulled into the little bubble where Ulti was supposed to be and, I suppose he was corrupted. This is what made him have that black "scar" on him and it grows any time he's in VIII territory. I think this will work like a sorceress' sanity meter and he'll slowly fall off the edge as things get worse.... He is evil. You just don't know until after his plan fails. (By the way, Aerith CAN'T fix the world.) See, Xenos still thinks he's a hero and once he starts going bonkers, he's just going to say "Screw it! Ulti was right! You all are maggot filth SeeDs and you will all die!" only, not quite like that. Then when he's just about to die.... SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!!! Only Aerith and I know. As for who is supposed to stand against Xenos... it was supposed to be Tidus, but if we can't get another Tidus, then that plan is out.... D:

I really wish I'd chosen Quina instead of Kuja. S/he could take on Xenos and Vivi with one hand tied behind his/her back and a frog in his/her other.

You are all wrong. Tseng is armed with the might of Shinra and the all powerful (yet highly immobile) Sister Ray. Even Xenos can't stand up to the might of a full military and the remaining SOLDIERS mwhahahaha!
He may be weak and stabbed often, but Tseng also has one other advantage... plot devices.
On a more honest note, my bet would be on whoever was most clueless. The less the person knows what's going on the more likely he would be to eliminate the world threat by chance and circumstance.

No, you're all wrong. Pikachu will come out of nowhere and entice us all into it's cuteness then FRY us all with it's thunderbolt!
And then he'll leave...leave us all to die of electricity based wounds. D:
EVIL PIKACHU! KILL 'IM!
The way I see it, the only one with really any chance at stopping Xenos, is Xenos. At present, he's capable of controlling his own actions. But when he loses his mind and is thus driven utterly insane, there is very little he himself can do by this point. At that point, it would be left to someone with an intense desire to stop him.
From my understanding, Tidus - a dream - was the only one seemingly able to stop him, thus would that not technically give the unsent or an indestructible entity (of sorts) the ability to prevent his continued descent into Oblivion? Because if that is indeed the case, that Tidus the dream were able to halt Xenos; then it would seem likely another with such a strange presence would be capable as well.
My guess, that Auron, Vincent, Sephiroth (who dies and just comes back, again and again and again, etc) I suppose the Summons would be capable, but as if that wasn't already obvious...and you know who else I see with the ability to take him out?
Vivi.
I actually believe Vivi, as a strong little black mage, with no inkling to 'stop' ever would possibly be capable of almost infinite and unmatchable power.
He is possibly the best candidate. But if Tidus is free...DAMN! My love for FFX is making me wish I'd only been registering about now! >.<
I would, but I don't think I'm cut out for anything too drastic, I don't think. But it's so tempting. But I already have a character. Bad Lear. >.<

I know! I'll empower Vivi with an Eidolon Kiss =3 Then he'll get supa powerful, and beat Xenos.
Then Alexander will spank Xenos, soon allowing the rest of the Summons their turns. Spank him back to sanity! x3

HAHAHA! Man, I'm glad everyone has their own fun theory of how things will end. Really, I have no idea what will happen. I just do what sounds good and will make the plot interesting and somewhat plausible. I don't even Godmode! When Xenos jumped from Tiamat's back in Junon, he hurt himself pretty badly! When Squall slashed him in the leg and cast poison on him, Xenos barely won my cheaply controlling Squall's mind before he nearly collapsed!
When Tiamat bent him over the counter to make him take it in the rear, it took him a life time to recover!
Xenos charged Tidus to be the one to take him down to release himself from his father's mistakes. He pretty much told Tidus ( I think) that he had taken all of his father's sins into himself and that, only by defeating Xenos would his hands be cleaned... or that because he was the one who had destroyed the world that only one like Tidus, who was just a dream, had the power to destroy Xenos and prove to the world how much more he was... or something like that. I need to read the thread again. It was pretty cool!
I don't know who will have the power to bring him down after he goes crazy, but it will be damn fun to write! I get to throw all caution to the wind and talk to the memory of Ulti in his mind and try to follow through on her insanity. To put it simply, he will be schizophrenic. Auditory hallucinations, delusions, everything. It's gonna be fuuuuuun.

God help us all when your cruel evil delusional future comes to pass.
However, I have a new theory based on what you just submitted to us. What if we are looking at this all wrong? It could be possible that Xenos won't even be taken down by a hero but rather a villain. With that theory in hand, the idea is that maybe us heroes will end up screwing this all up. I mean how often do main characters (aka heroes like Cloud, Squall, Tidus, etc.) actually succeed in coming together in any story other than the one where *they* are important. Perhaps, the heroes will end up squabbling over what to do, how reckless to be, or maybe they just won't even make it to their target because none of them bring their respective groups together.
If that was the case, then the villains could end up being the ones to save us all. Adel, Kefka, Kuja, etc. all of them have access to incredible powers (at least in their own minds) and took teams to bring down (in their respective games). In addition, most of them have greater knowledge, intelligence, or just experience over the heroes. Sephiroth had access to years of Shinra SOLDIER tactical training for example.
Then there is the other question... can Xenos survive an attack from an airship? If the answer is no then would it be possible to rally an army against him such as one formed in Esther or by organizing the forces of the Al Bhed? Most hero teams didn't/don't do so well at organizing armies, but the villains... they thrive on it. With those reasons in hand, I believe now that Xenos's only real threats will come from those who have embraced evil before. To quote a movie "Sometimes fighting evil necessitates a different kind of evil."

Well, in the future, Xenos will have his Garden all around him. He'll use that like an airship and it'll be his main force of protection. He may not have a whole lot right now, but if things go as planned, we'll end up having (for a time, at least) the Goddess statues, hopefully a Dragon army and possibly for a time Alexander or other summons. So there's a lot of stuff that COULD happen or MIGHT happen, but we won't know all of Xenos' weapons until we get there.... It could be very possible that a villain or the villains could be the one(s) to take him down. Who knows?
