Aww, it's not that bad. Most people here haven't played every single Final Fantasy. I haven't played 1-3, or any of the Tactics games. Well, I played FF1, but I didn't like it.

I just lost interest in IX, and X irritated the living daylights out of me because the voice acting just DRUG on and on...AT least in the KH games you could read and zip though before they were finished talking. I'd rather read and go fast the first time I play

I never played Tactics, though I did play Tactics Advance. I also never played XI (I have a rule to never pay to play a game, since they charge a furtune for games anyway), and I didn't finish XII. I know it got awesome reviews, but just didn't get into it. I'll finish it sometime.
Tifa, I know what you mean about voice acting. Reading has it's charm, but voice acting really slows a game down. (You're talking to a guy that cast haste on the bosses in X to speed battles up).

Well, I've played parts of IV, V, half of VI, VII nine times, VIII twice, IX one and a half times, X two and a half... DoC five times, X-2 a quarter. I've never played I - III, XI, or XII.
I couldn't stand Yuna's voice actor. The rest of them were great, but Yuuuuunaaaaaa sucked. Kimahri (god, I can't spell) and Wakka had the same voice actor, so that's gotta count for something. And Isaaru = Reno = Axel. End of fangirl story.
As far as Kingdom Hearts goes, I couldn't stand about 80% of the first game. BUT the 20% that I liked, I really liked. If Riku was in it, or if there was some FF character, the story was almost guaranteed to be, well, story. I couldn't stand the Disney levels. I kept sitting there, thinking, 'I've already seen this movie! I know how it ends, so can't we just stop?' And then, to make it worse, those levels felt like a MarySue with Sora... like the thing had to be written around him to make a space he could be in.
KH2 almost completely fixed that, btw. The Disney levels take place outside the original storyline. Either between sequels (second time through the Pride Lands), or in a fold of time within the story (Beast's Castle). Mulan and the first time through the Pride Lands was still MarySue Disney. Anytime that there was an Organization member, there was story, and there's like seven of them making your life miserable... unless it's Axel or Demyx. Then they're making fanfictions (oh god).

Wakka drove me crazy. Absolutely batty I tell you. I mean, it's John DiMaggio, who is awesome (he does Bender's voice in Futurama), but the accent was just too much to take.
I've played VII about 6-7 times and VIII probably close to as much. I played a little of Anthology with an ex and a little of FFT (which I hated. Tactics games are not for me. Ask Alex. He can tell you how bad I am at chess).
*swoons over Reno* I have been on the biggest Reno kick lately. There's just something about his arrogant, humorous demeanor. And Axel is quite popular when paired with Roxas.
As for KH, Bubblegum Disney is irritating, that's for sure. Playing through the movies wasn't so fun. Except Pridelands, I adore the Lion King. In the first game, I really enjoyed Herc's battle arena, especially the plotline around Cloud. And I like when you first meet Squally. I preferred his voice acting in the first game, but I don't think either voice captured Squall as nicely as they could have. In the second game, I absolutely adored the fight scene where Cloud and Squall were back-to-back *dies*. And my husband was totally stoked over Tron. He didn't like either game much till then.
Of course, if it wasn't for those games, we wouldn't have the awesome song "Sanctuary" by Utada Hikaru *listens*.

The Tron parts were awesome, if for not other reason than it gave Squall more screen time. I still can't believe Squall is more important than Cloud in those games. You know what else I really liked? Atlantica. That sing along thing was stupid to no end, but damn it I couldn't help but love it.
I didn't mind Yuna's voice, but I also played FFX-2 a lot more than FFX, and her voice isn't so annoying in that game in my opinion. My opinions regarding much of Final Fantasy is unpopular here. XD
I've played FFIV three times, FFV once as a ROM that I cheated my way through, FFVI twice, FFVII once, FFVIII twice (I know, eh?), FFIX once, FFX once, FFX-2 like six times, and FFXII once. I'm not big on replaying games that don't offer bonuses for doing so.

I <3 Disney, so Kingdom Hearts pretty much rocked for me all over. And I like when you first meet Squally. I preferred his voice acting in the first game, but I don't think either voice captured Squall as nicely as they could have. The voice for Squall in KH1 was perfect for me (being a messive Buffy and Angel nerd). I thought it suited the character well, since Leon is like an aged version of himself. The voice in the second game was too nasal. I'd also liked to point out that Cloud's voice was pitch perfect, too. In fact, almost the entire cast of both KH games (excluding Squall in KH2 and Aerith in both games) impressed me. So far, it's the only game I've played that enhances the experience of the game for me.

FFVII I played through two thirds of (I borrowed he game from a friend...who couldn't find disc 3) and thought it was a really good game, though, considering the graphics and how plain they were, I wasn't too excited (this coming from a guy whose first FF game to play was FFVIII). But, that was before I found out that Square originally had no ide aof the PSX's capabilities as they worked on FFVII. I've completed FFVIII 12 times, and counting. It's still my all-time favourite FF, and nothing will change that for me. FFIX annoyed me. I played it, felt it was lame, never completed till I randomly decided last year, I should finish it. Beat the final boss and thought ' this one sucked'...not touched it since. FFX I loved with almost as much passion as FFVIII. The sphere grid was fantastic, allowing so much more freedom with character development and surprisingly I loved all the voice actors and thouht Lulu was just plain awesome...Rikku, of course was my favourite character XD FFX-2 I've completed 6 times...as I'm stuck with 96% completion rate, and pissed off at it. I only intend on playing it until I've gotten 100% and haven't played it for that long now, it's just not funny. lol
FFXI I skipped...online gaming just not possible on Dial-Up >.< and I thought FFXII was good, but lacking in some aspects... *curses 'The Undying' at the end of the game*
KH I loved with passion as fiery as FFVIII and FFX. Though, my least favourite world was Wonderland, since I thought it was kinda dumb, but kinda kooky, so it wasn't all bad. KH2, well, that was just plain awesome! Least favourite world was Atlantica because I hated the singing (Is it just me that doesn't ever want Sora to release a single...or an album? XD) but I adored the Drives... Final Form *drools*
KH1's Squall was the best suited to Squall's voice as well, in my opinion. He sounded way off in KH2 and his hair was weird as hell in it. Aerith's voice wasn't that great in KH2, I thought she sounded better in KH1. And I thought the addition of Auron was a wise choice. Sora vs Squall, Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie *gasp* I was playing that tournament for the first time yesterday, my mate took over while I got my gear together and the instant he saw them in the fight, he was like "Oh shit! You do it!" lol

The voice in the second game was too nasal.Exactly!! That drove me bonkers. I preferred the first voice much more to that. Aerith's voice wasn't that great in KH2, I thought she sounded better in KH1.Really? I much prefer Mena Suvari as Aeris than Mandy Moore. I like Mandy's singing okay (as much as I loathe to admit it, the song "Candy" is quite catchy and fun to sign along with). I just think Mena...sounded more like I'd imagined Aeris sounding Cloud was dead on. Nobody else should ever ever voice Cloud, I don't care how much they have to pay Steve Burton. Nobody else should ever do Cloud's voice. Period.

Now, which game/movie did Steve Burton do the voice of Cloud? I'm not sure on voice actor names (except in anime) so I can't really comment on Steve Burton to other VA's of Cloud.
Tifa- yeah, well I wasn't too fond of her in KH2...she sounded so different to what I'd imagined, and in KH1, she actually sounded pretty good. Even though it was Mandy Moore, she actually voiced a character pretty well.

Cloud's voice has been done by the same guy in pretty much everything where he has a voice, as far as I know.
Aerith, if I recall, hates Cloud's voice actor. I thought it suited him, but then I never really cared much for Cloud.

Now, which game/movie did Steve Burton do the voice of Cloud? Alex is right, everything. AC, KH 1 and 2 and CoM, DoC, and he'll be in Crisis Core (which I hope hope hope gets released here!!). At least, imo, Square got Cloud's voice right

I thought ol' Steve did a fine job. Aerith and Xenos hate him, though. I think it's hilarious. Maybe because I think Cloud is kindof a joke. Like, if you ever saw the soap opera Burton is in? His character could freakin' BE cloud, for what I've seen. So funny.
I think it's funny, though. I'm pretty much of the opposite opinion of everyone else. I loved IX with a passion. I found it to be a gorgeous game, even if it was a little easier than I expected. I find very few fans of VI anymore, which makes me sad. It's my absolute favorite. I'm not terribly fond of VIII, but I will blame that on the fact that I never got the chance to play it all the way through (in fact, I never got that far, but I wasn't so determined to because the first so many hours bored me to no end.) I'm going to play it, though, as soon as I get a disk doctor so I can buff out the scratches my copy suffered before it fell into my hands.
Still not very fond of X. It was okay, but... I just can't love it. And don't get me started on X-2. I gave away my copy of that. I didn't even bother trying to get compensation for the few hours I spent wondering why the hell I bought the thing in the first place.
And call me stubborn, but I'm done. No more FF for me. I just can't. I felt so alienated after X that I just can't continue. And, you know? I just don't like voice-acting in games all that much. It works for some, but others? I don't know.
As a recap: I've been through FF's VI god knows how many times, VII at least 3, VIII a 6th of the way, IX at thest 3, and X once.
You don't even want to know how many times I've played games from the Zelda series...

One day we the Square-Borg shall infiltrate Nintendo and infect Zelda with voice acting, and then nobody will be left to stand in our way! Muhahahahahahahaha!!!!!! ...I still think FFX-2 was a great game. *grumblegrumble*...I still liked it better than FFVII...*grumblegrumble* XD
