A slight pang of discomfort from his internal organs, as the facially scarred man rose, feeling as queazy as when he discovered the truth behind the Final Aeon. He could only wonder what had happened, and since he was in Bevelle, he could only begin to fathom how he got to being there. The last thing he could remember was disappearing into the Farplane, after Yuna's fantastical defeat of the mighty Sin.
He stood, just in front of the entrance to the bountifully extravagant gates to the reaches of Bevelle city. Bevelle, the grandest city in all of Spira, nothing less than amazing, but the completely undamaged Zanarkand found deep within Sin's memories, was the only city, with grandeur that could match Bevelle. Bevelle's beauty, however, was surpassed by the many, dark and deeply appalling secrets the depths of the city possessed. Nothing could keep Bevelle's black past a secret forever, and if the man, Auron knew anything well, it was the fact that those secrets would come to shadow the grand palace again some day soon.
"This place deserves no pity. It's not the sacred place it used to be." he frowned, and cursed under his breath. He would either about-face, and begin to leave, or enter the 'sanctum city' of Bevelle.
Sin was gone, as far as Auron was concerned. He did after all, turn to pyreflies, as Yuna sent him to the Farplane. So how come he was back? Could it have been possible, that the Sent, could be brought back? Was Tidus back as well? And the other's, the many others that had been Sent, after dying so young after attacks from the nearly indestructible Sin?
Maybe I should...speak...with the Fayth. Summoner's aren't the only one's able. It's only a matter of 'force of will'. he smiled, the faint hint of a smile, but a smile, nonetheless. He was determined to prepare a way through, through the front. Something needed to be asked of the Fayth, and who better to do so, than someone already aware of the lies and deciet focussed solely around those beings of such 'holy power'.
He tried to take his steps to the immense gates, but some guards halted him. He merely looked at them, over his glasses, and raised an eyebrow in a 'do you dare try' fashion. They raised they're weapons, but both looked as though they knew the outcome before the fight.

((VIVI!!! WHY WOULD YOU LIGHT ME ON FIRE?!?!?! I just let her go.... T_T))
Reno's previous sign of affection was cut off suddenly by the small voice of the mage nearby and Reno wished that he hadn't forgotten him. The fire flared from his shoulder and seared, hot into his face. He jumped back from Tifa and slapped at his chest like a lunatic. Certainly his usually "suave" (more like lecherous) attitide had been heavily marred thanks to the prank of that.... youngster.... Reno hated feeling old, so perhaps it the fire distraction had been a good thing.
Finally, when the fire had been extinguished by his (now burned) hand, Reno heaved a sigh and tried to remove the jacket.... to no avail. "Aw man... I should have known not to choose the polyester...." Teal eyes took a look at the damage of his right hand with a grimace. Sometimes I'm glad that we had to train with both hands.... This one's pretty useless. What was I THINKING when I decided to help these people? Couldn't I have had something better to do with my time? Like DRINK? The Turk shook his head. I don't think I've ever been so sober.... Damn Tifa, Damn that Cetra and DAMN the little mage who ruined my jacket!
Reno smiled. "I wasn't trying to do anything, kid. Tifa and I are friends.... or we were...." He looked at Tifa, noting that the woman looked quite a bit younger than she had been when they had, in fact, been "friends." Reno blinked. "Or... would be...." WHY couldn't we have just found the pub.....?

(It's ok Vivi, lighting Reno on fire actually sorta works for my response lol)
Jumping at the sudden flare, Tifa took the opportunity to set herself where she could carefully watch Sephiroth and keep an eye on Cloud. She smiled at Vivi, silently thanking him for his help. She stood slighty up on her toes, but didn't bring her hands in front of her to defend herself. The dark haired SOLDIER was still chatting with Cloud, and it looked to her that Setzer had moved in for support. She wondered why nobody was paying any attention to the biggest threat she could see, but Sephiroth was all but ignored. He appeared to be standing silently, watching.
Tifa's eyes swept back to the Turk, and she noticed his hand was badly blistered. He seemed to be staring at it forlornly, and the scorched, melted fabric of his jacket seemed stuck to his shirt, which contained a few holes. She could see some other blistering through them, on his chest.
Suddenly, Tifa realized that the Turk had pushed her out of the way of the flame. It was a startling realization. had he...protected her? A very strange thought. Why would any Shinra protect a member of AVALANCHE? But he had. She felt as if she owed him some sort of thanks.
Deciding to take a risk and be the bigger person, Tifa stepped slowly up to him, reaching gently for his burned hand, examining the badly blistered skin. "You're hurt." She said softly. She leaned forward and examined his chest through the holes in the shirt. She was so close that he should be able to feel her breath against the bare skin of his chest, but she didn't pay any attention to her proximity to his body. "This is bad. If you don't get something on it soon, it will scar." She looked up at him, turning her big, dark eyes up to stare into his blue-green ones. "Do you have any healing materia?"

((... we can finally get back IC))
Zack, distracted from his single-minded concern, turned to the Turk. "Figures, the one time you wash your shirt, you get suit all over it." He strolled over and crossed his arms. "For that horrible display of flirting, I should let you scar." He smilled and winked at Tifa. "I don't think he knows how to use Cure." With that, he pulled one of their few potions out of his bag and handed it to the woman. "It won't match Aerith's healing, but it'll tide him over until we find her."
The SOLDIER gave the young mage a thumbs up. "Good job, kid. Sometimes he needs to be put back in line. Good thing you chose fire, though. Lightning wouldn't've done much." Yes, this little diversion had brought Zack back to the present, and though he still felt driven to find Aerith, he decided that she's a tough girl and could last... provided they still hurried.

Accepting the vial from the dark haired SOLDIER, Tifa smiled slightly in return. There was something familiar about him, and despite his occupation, something also strangely...comforting. He seemed a caring soul. Twisting the cap off the vial, she returned her attention back to the Turk. So, he had been flirting, had he? Well, she could pay him back for that later. He had helped her in a way, she admitted to herself reluctantly. He had kept her from being burned. It was only fair she return the favor. As she dipped her fingers into the familiar gel-like substance, she lifted her eyes up to meet the redhead's. "Now, don't move. This might sting a little, at first." As Tifa moved her fingers towards the man's hand to smooth in the potion, a thought occurred to her. Looking from the SOLDIER to the Turk, she asked "Who is this Aerith we're trying to save?" (If I'm off in how potions would be used for burns, my apologies, I just figured this worked, and gave Tifa and excuse to talk to both Reno and Zack )

Sephiroth kept watching the scene without any interest, and ended up rolling his eyes. 'So this was the party who had defeated me?' thought him, almost smiling 'I was so weak back then, so....' He didn't move even after the little mage had make a mistake and burned Reno's hand, even though it was obvious that wasn't his intention. Plus, it was good to the annoying turk have a reason to behave. 'How can people trust each other so fast?' thought him, while crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.' I have killed so many people and all i said was: 'i'm not the same person' and they suddenly start to believe me...Is this strenght? Maybe i have been mistaken so long?'
Putting the hand behind his neck like he could hold the miserable headache, the general got lost on his own thoughts. The simple mention of the name Aerith, made he heard for a while the voice of that creature, Jenova. Could it be possible that the vision of her would make he lost his mind again? If that was true, at least he had members on the party that would kill him easily, what was a deep relief. Even though, Zack seemed more protective towards the name of the Cetra, maybe he could have the guts to kill the general at last.
'I don't want to go without finding who brought me back first...and for what...'

((Sorry guys, I misread and I didn't mean to! I think I was in a hurry to get to class.... I still love you, Vivi! :-D ))
Reno flinched as the potion touched the blisters. "Aerith is Zack's girlfriend...." He blinked and pursed his lips, "Or was she Cloud's girlfriend?" Well, even if she ended up following Cloud, it always looked like Tifa was trying to move in.... Besides, Zack has been head-over-heels for the chick since I met him.... Reno grinned recklessly at Zack. "What, were you two engaged? If you thin my flirting's bad," he said to Tifa, "you should see Zack's. It's pitiful! I'm amazed that you got Aerith in the first place!" He flinched again as the potion sunk in. "Ouch ouch ouch ouch..... Can't you be a little more gentle with that? I'm fragile, you know."
((Should I insert Sinspawn now?))

"Well, if you didn't jerk around, it wouldn't hurt so much." Tifa snapped back. Cloud's girlfriend? Or is she this Zack's girlfriend? Tifa attempted to find Cloud with her eyes, but the two men in front of her blocked her view. As she finished rubbing the potion into the Turk's hand, she looked at the SOLDIER. "Zack, is it? I'm Tifa." She gave him a small, wary smile. "How did your girl friend get into trouble?"
While she waited for Zack to answer, she gave the Turk a small scowl. "There, your hand is done. And look, it's already better." The skin of his hand was less an angry red, and the blisters seemed to have shrunk. "Not as good as materia, but it still does the job." Nodding to his chest, Tifa continued. "Open your shirt so I can fix up your chest."

( Wow, do I have some catching up to do. )
Cloud was about to answer Vincent, but his attention was immediately distracted. As Zack accosted the Ex-Soldier, Cloud's left hand moved to catch his wrist as his old friend grabbed his shirt. His right hand balled up into a fist, more out of instinct than anything else.
"Relax Zack. I'll explain everything on the way."
Cloud said as Zack backed of after a moment of intense staring. Cloud's muscles relaxed, for the moment, and he scowled as Reno put his arm over Tifa.
'The jerk. He has some nerve after what he did to Sector 7.'
Cloud opened his mouth to say something, when Vivi acted for him. Reno's shirt lit aflame. Cloud chuckled, more for the pain Reno was in than anything else. However, he stopped abruptly, his mirth replaced with a look of horror. He was starting to act a little too much like someone he absolutely hated...
Cloud blinked, his vision blurry all of a sudden. He had spaced out there for a minute. He rubbed his temples, the beginnings of a headache forming. He watched as Tifa treated Reno's wounds, smiling at him as if they were best friends. Cloud scowled once more, then turned towards Bevelle.
"Well, if all of you are done with your campfires,"
Cloud said sarcastically,
"Maybe we can get this show on the road before Seymour gets away."

Reno had unbuttoned the top of his shirt by the time Cloud had mentioned moving. He was right, of course.... The red-head looked from Cloud to Tifa to Zack to Tifa again.... As much as he'd like this sweet young thing to take care of him, there were more important things at hand. He sighed. "Here, Tifa," Reno offered with an extended hand, "I can take care of it while we move. The longer we wait, the more likely it is that Aerith is trying to be bred with some other species."
((HAHAHAHA! SEYMOUR!!!! HE WANTS IN HER PANTS! GET IT?!!?))

Placing the jar in Reno's hand, Tifa arched an eyebrow at him. "Be sure to use it, or you will scar." With a nod for the redhead and Zack, Tifa glanced at Sephiroth, wary of turning her back on him, before trotting back towards Cloud.
Smiling at Vivi, she thanked him for his intervention with the Turk. Falling in stride with Cloud, she was silent for a time, watching the blonde man from the corner of her eye. His girlfriend? Or Zack's? It had been a long time since she had seen Cloud. She couldn't hold it against him if he had moved on and started dating. She hadn't, but Nibelheim had been small and she'd been too busy training to think about any of the boys in town, and she was just starting to meet people in Midgar before...who knows what had happened and she'd ended up here. Wherever here was.
She supposed maybe her crush on Cloud was a silly childhood thing. But she couldn't help but notice how handsome he had become as he had grown up. He seemed years older now, and the maturity had been more than kind to him. Maybe she still looked like a child to him. Maybe she was still a child, in his eyes.
To herself, Tifa decided she wouldn't get in the way. If this Aerith was where Cloud's heart was, then so be it. She wouldn't interfere. With a small sigh, she turned her big brown eyes to Cloud's.
"So I guess we'd better go find this Aerith?"
Inside, she felt a little part of herself break.

((I missed SOOOOO much!!! SORRY SORRY SORRY!!!))
To recieve no answer, in Cloud's momentary obliviousness, was less than an appealing feel, but he knew that Cloud would not answer without good reason. They had a mutual understanding. They, were the same kind of people. Lone wolves, till the end of their days would be how they lived out their lives, separately, or as friends. Nothing could change that.
Tifa, on the other hand, seemed incapable of recognising him. But she also looked so much younger than Vincent had known her. Something, was definitely wrong. He could not hope to see a single shred of the Tifa he knew in those eyes. They were more vibrant, and as though nothing incredibly life-altering had happened in her life. apart from what vincent had been told about her very youth with Cloud. Her father...Cloud's disappearance back in that time.
And Sephiroth...Sephiroth looked, as notably vicious as ever, but that may just be because Valentine only saw him as a monster. Reno, as thick as ever. this old Turk could never fully encompass, and work out how Reno's mind worked. But the black haired SOLDIER...seemed increasingly familiar...did Vincent know him at any stage? Probably not.
"We're here to rescue Aerith. Did you see her Cloud? I thought..." he trailed off, glimpsing Sephiroth for a moment. A sort of, familiarity rising from him...like Vincent and Seph had some kind of connection to one another...something in they're pasts, may have collided...or may not. He was after all, having a very, very weird day.
